Catalytic Capital Community of Practice

C3 is working to grow and strengthen the global community of practice around catalytic capital. In addition to supporting research, frameworks, investment tools, and related resources, C3 is fostering greater engagement and connectivity among investors and other stakeholders to advance the use and effectiveness of catalytic capital worldwide.

Our Catalytic Capital Community of Practice spans the full spectrum of investors and ecosystem actors working across regions and sectors. Programming is primarily delivered by C3’s network partners, which are established impact investing networks that provide tailored knowledge, resources, training, convenings, and other activities to members and ecosystem actors. C3 also directly facilitates a global investors community of practice, which brings together a curated group of experienced catalytic capital investors to share experiences and deals, and inspire collaborative solutions.

Global Investors Community of Practice

The global investors community of practice connects leading established catalytic capital investors deploying at scale across markets with their peers to share learnings and deepen their practice. Lessons learned from this group also help inform other C3 programming and elevate best practices for the field. For example, C3 conducted a series of Learning Labs with seasoned investors that generated in-depth guidance notes and commentaries on particular aspects of catalytic capital transactions.

C3 worked in partnership with Courageous Capital Advisors (CCA) and FSG to develop a series of guidance notes focused on the seeding, scaling, and sustaining roles of catalytic capital. The guidance notes are the product of C3 Learning Labs and reflect the insights of the seasoned catalytic capital investors, who joined in-depth conversations with their peers to discuss key challenges and opportunities.
