5 Myths Preventing Catalytic Capital From Going Where It’s Needed

In a new piece for Stanford Social Innovation Review, Harvey Koh analyzes research from C3’s Strengthening the Evidence Base grantees to dispel five long-standing myths about capital gaps. “Without a clear understanding of these gaps, it is difficult for investors and advisors to develop sound strategies to address them,” he writes, noting that the new body of C3-supported research is helping remedy the lack of knowledge.

“Ultimately, we are striving to fulfill the potential of impact investing as a tool that will truly unlock better lives for billions of people and particularly for those who are most marginalized and vulnerable,” he concludes.
